Improving the sustainability of your purchasing with eco friendly print marketing!

When it comes to your printed items, the positivity will extend to your customers and bottom line too. Here are some eco friendly print marketing ideas;

Giveaways not throw-away

We’re talking about eco friendly corporate gifts that provide the all-important reminder of what you do; creating awareness, building loyalty and a general ‘feel good factor’. We’ll recommend quality, practical products to maximise their use and focus on sustainable material choices too, including on-trend bamboo and cork products, and biodegradable bio-plastic items.

Revisit your mailing projects

There are two key approaches that we can help you progress; cleansing your database to avoid wasted letters and secondly, looking at the specification of your projects. Sustainable FSC paper is a must and if your communications need protection in transit, we’ve got access to eco friendly potato starch polywrap, which biodegrades in home compost or food waste bins.

Use office paper that plants trees

We supply plain A4 paper for your in-house printing that supports the Woodland Trust. It’s chlorine free and produced to the most demanding environmental standards. Energy for paper production is generated from waste material, resulting in zero CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and excess heat from paper production is piped to a community heating project. If you’d like to trial a free ream in your printers, just let us know.

Develop eco print specifications

Whatever eco friendly print projects you have in mind, we’ll build environmental print considerations into each project brief, with sustainable FSC certified paper and being mindful about print finishes that can compromise the ability of items to be recycled.

We’re here to support all these approaches, as part of our focus called The Green Dot. That extends to how we operate too, minimising the environmental impact of our operations and taking our environmental focus beyond our office and out in the community as part of our broader CSR focus.

Eco friendly fonts

Author: Jacqui Vear 24th September 2020  Eco friendly fonts, yes, they are a ‘thing’ and have been for a while in print projects.   Using less resources is in the best interests of the environment. The weight, size and kerning (the gap between each letter) of a font impacts on ink use, the speed of production and how many words you can fit on a page, obviously impacting on paper use.   Lighter-weight, narrow fonts, with simple ‘no-frills’ styling will have less of a draw on...
