A milestone work anniversary for Annie

12th July 2021
Congratulations to Annie Johnson...
Celebration has been in the air this month, with the team reflecting on Annie’s amazing 35 years with Systematic!
Annie joined the team back in July 1986, when our offices were based above what was the NatWest Bank in Caistor Market Place. Annie is now our longest working team member.
MD Chris Robey remarked, “We thank Annie for her hard work, enthusiasm and loyalty, for her strength of character and her kindness to all. Working every night and weekend, we have literally lost count of the numbers of clients and visitors to Caistor, who have expressed their enthusiasm for our bright, pristine offices.
“What also stands out is the consistency of Annie’s high standards, which she maintains at all times, even when busy with her family and whilst working in other roles, such as currently at Caistor Primary School.”
During Annie’s time at Systematic there have been many memorable moments, such as when Annie completed a week long Outward Bound Adventure Training Course in the worst conditions that the training provider had ever known! Annie once apprehended a thief trying to steal our van one evening, causing the thief to give up and run away! Annie can also make the rare claim that she’s only ever taken off in a plane and never landed, due to completing a skydive on her first ever flight! On that occasion Annie was fund-raising for the Child Development Centre at Grimsby Hospital. The Centre later moved into a new purpose built location, the success of which was very much down to the determined fundraising of their first volunteers, including Annie and her husband, Bob, our Warehouse Manager.
As Chris, his wife Sharon Robey and founder of Systematic, Nick Robey came together to surprise Annie on the evening of this work milestone, Chris concluded, “Annie is a highly valued member of our team. On behalf of all your past and present colleagues at Systematic, may we say a very big thank you. It has been our privilege to work alongside you for the last 35 years.”
