Our latest education logo design projects

Education logos are literally worn on the sleeve of millions of children in the UK

Creating logos and branding for the education sector is not a job we take lightly, yet it is a challenge that our Graphic Designers find hugely rewarding. In the space of just a few weeks, we have been honoured that both a day nursery and a federation of schools have trusted us to create their unique visual identities.

When created effectively, an education logo design can evoke pride and a sense of belonging, they are a connection to a period in each student’s life, which they will remember forever. It is an emotive subject, even before links to a school’s history, values and community are considered!

West Wold Federation brand identity

The West Wold Federation of Schools brings together two Lincolnshire schools that are within three miles of one another; Caistor Church of England and Methodist Primary School and The Grasby All Saints Church of England Primary School. Their common Governing Body, aims, shared expertise and experiences have come together in the Federation since 2017. It was now time to reflect this visually through an education logo design that unifies the identities of the two schools.

The brief was to reflect the unique identities of both schools in the Federation logo, to ensure that it feels familiar to students and those in the wider communities. This blended approach sought to reflect the spirit of ‘togetherness’, which was central to how the Federation was working. The image above shows the new West Wold Federation logo design, with the current school logos either side of it.

Cedar House Childcare logo design

Bardney Playgroup sought a fresh identity, to reflect their new charity status and expanding offer. New premises that incorporate cedar wood inspired their new name and the key element of the new logo. Our client initially felt that it was time to move on from the teddy bear, yet one of our options incorporated an updated design, which was well received by the panel reviewing our ideas. The teddy bear has the benefit of reflecting those attending the nursery in a way that is neutral to gender and ethnicity. The illustrated designs are accompanied by a modern yet playful font, used in different weights to delineate words. The colour palette is natural yet vibrant.
